I photographed this arrangement on our kitchen table, after I picked these roses from our yard in the spring. Before I met my wife, I dreamt of a home where we could grow roses together. I love capturing the nuances in these flowers with varying shades of cotton fabrics. Adding some touches of colored pencil and fabric marker allows me to use the painterly training I received hanging around the studio of my father, a realist painter.
