For most of my professional life I was viewed as an extrovert; confident, imposing, inaccessible. Since retiring, I have worked hard to re-make myself, to break down barriers, and expose the complexity that is my persona.
Indigo Composition No. 13 captures this contradiction. From afar, what appears to be solid and unchanging, is upon closer inspection complex; made up of varied textures, forms, patterns and colors. It’s only by acknowledging the cracks and flaws that healing can begin.
