Cloth speaks to me. The nature of the cloth itself—its drape and the tactile comfort of its woven thread–surrounds me with warmth as I dream of what it can become. An intimate dialog begins between the cloth and me. The application of mx dye to fabric, the addition of marks that are one with my hand, and the final cutting, sewing, and quilting are intuitive and meditative. I become one with cloth and the cloth develops its own narrative.
